EOS Utility is an application that brings together all of the functions required to communicate with the camera. Functions for downloading and displaying images, remote shooting, and camera control of each setting when an EOS DIGITAL camera is connected to a computer have been integrated. It is possible to select linked software. Remote operation of Auto Power-off setting Auto Power-off ON/OFF can be set remotely. File save destination display function A function to display the destination of the images imported to the computer was added. The destination is displayed by selecting [Open save destination] in the menu. Modified Functions Unlimited maximum number of frames during timer shooting or interval shooting The limitation for maximum number of frames during timer shooting or interval shooting was released. It enables unlimited number of shootings as long as HDD space is available for the computer connected. Limitations (Only for Macintosh) The following issues were found with PowerPC based MacOS X 10.4.7. (Please click here to see the further compatibility information for MacOS X 10.4. ) Connections cannot be made with EOS D30, D60, 10D, 20D/20Da and 300D. Connections cannot be made with EOS 350D and 5D when the communication setting is 'PC connection'. (Connections can be made when the communication setting is Print/PTP. However, it is not possible to take pictures remotely as it is necessary to set the communication setting to [PC connection]. ) Installation To install this updater, it is required that one of the following software application is already installed on your system.
